WHO WE ARE

GeoScape is a cooperative specializing in environmental monitoring, sustainable land management, and the analysis of marine and terrestrial dynamics.

Founded in 2019 by a group of researchers from the University of Genoa, GeoScape was established with the aim of transforming applied scientific research into concrete solutions for public institutions, universities, and private companies.

Thanks to a multidisciplinary team composed of geologists, biologists, hydrologists, and naturalists, we operate in the fields of environmental science, environmental engineering, coastal protection, spatial planning, and energy, providing highly specialized technical and scientific support.

History

From a university spin-off to integrated environmental consultancy.

GeoScape was established as a spin-off of the University of Genoa, within the Department of Earth Sciences. From the outset, the objective has been clear: to apply advanced scientific expertise to the solution of real-world environmental challenges.

Early marine and terrestrial environmental monitoring projects confirmed the effectiveness of an integrated approach, capable of combining:

    • Geology and geomorphology
    • Marine and terrestrial biology
    • Hydrology and coastal dynamics
    • Environmental analysis and modeling

Over time, the cooperative has strengthened its structure through collaborations with public institutions, regional incubators, and cooperative networks, enhancing both its technical and managerial expertise.

Today, GeoScape has 14 members and numerous national collaborations, operating as a technical partner in projects related to environmental management, biodiversity conservation, infrastructure monitoring, and sustainable planning.
Mission

To transform scientific knowledge into operational tools for environmental protection, land conservation, and sustainable planning, contributing to the development of resilient and innovative solutions.

Approach

Scientific method and technological innovation

Each project is developed according to a rigorous scientific method, based on data collection, technical analysis, and validation of the proposed solutions.

Multidisciplinary Approach

Integrating diverse areas of expertise allows us to effectively address the complexity of environmental systems, both in marine and terrestrial contexts.

Monitoring and Technology

We use advanced instrumentation for:
Marine environmental monitoring;
Physicochemical and biological analysis;
Study of currents and coastal dynamics;
Photogrammetry and land surveying;
Hydrodynamic modeling and spatial analysis;

Academic Research and Collaboration

We maintain strong ties with universities and research centers, ensuring continuous updates and solutions based on scientific evidence.

Sustainability and Resilience

Every intervention is oriented towards sustainable land management, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and ecosystem resilience.

Who We Work With

GeoScape provides consulting and technical-scientific support across a range of sectors.

Vision –
GeoScape looks to the future with the conviction that innovation and environmental protection can advance together.

The goal is to become a national benchmark in sustainable land management and environmental monitoring, transforming scientific research into practical solutions for communities, institutions, and businesses.
