Luigi Mucerino
Marine Scientist – Ph.D – President
He obtained a PhD in Earth Sciences in 2016.
He currently serves as President and Project Manager of GeoScape Cooperative.
Since 2009, he has been professionally active in the marine environmental sector, collaborating over the years with universities, research institutions, and companies operating in the field.
His main areas of expertise include coastal modeling, coastal management and restoration, assessment of the environmental impact of infrastructure on aquatic environments, terrestrial and underwater surveying, cartography, and GIS.

Luca Carpi
Marine Scientist – Ph.D – Vice President
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master’s degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Genoa, where he also earned a PhD in Science and Technology for the Environment and Territory (curriculum in Earth Sciences).
He also obtained a specialization as a Hydrologist (specialization course no. SP14A2-E4190-100).
He is currently a research fellow at the University of Genoa, where he conducts research in the fields of coastal hydro-morphodynamics, sedimentology, and integrated coastal zone management, applying innovative tools such as spatial analysis in GIS environments and numerical modeling.
He also has a solid background in field survey techniques and digital cartography production.
He has collaborated with international universities and research institutions, focusing in particular on the study of potential future environmental scenarios related to sea-level rise.
His education and professional experience, characterized by a strong multidisciplinary approach, enable him to address environmental issues with a broad and integrated perspective, extending beyond coastal environments.

Arianna Caneva
Marine Scientist
She holds a degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Milano-Bicocca and has gained international research experience in the marine field, including projects and fieldwork in ocean environments.
Her interests focus on GIScience applied to the environment, with particular attention to the development of 3D solutions and visualizations for data analysis and communication.

Giorgia Poddi
Naturalist
She holds a degree in Nature Conservation and Management, with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s theses focused on entomology. In addition to this passion, she has a strong interest in all aspects of the natural environment, particularly marine sciences.
Since July, she has been collaborating with GeoScape Cooperative, working on coastal monitoring through topographic and bathymetric surveys, as well as cartographic processing using QGIS and ArcGIS software.
She is motivated by the opportunity to explore new professional fields in order to expand her knowledge and experience.

Carlotta Redaelli
Marine Scientist
A marine scientist with a degree in Biological Sciences and a specialization in Marine Sciences from the University of Milano-Bicocca.
She focuses on marine and coastal geomorphology, with expertise in seabed mapping, geophysical data analysis, and photogrammetry using ROVs and drones for the morphodynamic monitoring of beaches.
She has gained experience in applied and industrial research projects, collaborations with research institutions, and international scientific expeditions in the Arctic, focusing on the study of methane emissions from the seafloor.

Claudia Scopesi
Naturalist – Ph.D
She holds a degree in Natural Systems Sciences (2009) and earned a PhD in Earth Sciences in 2012.
She specializes in pedology and cartography. Her work focuses on the study and assessment of soils from both agronomic and landscape perspectives, as well as on soil degradation processes—particularly desertification, erosion, and salinization—using predictive mathematical models. Over time, she has also developed strong expertise in GIS and remote sensing (ArcGIS, MapInfo, ERDAS).
A certified Environmental Hiking Guide and Environmental Educator recognized by the Liguria Region.

Doriana Sicurelli
Biologist – Advisor
A registered Marine Biologist with extensive experience in environmental monitoring and scientific research in marine and coastal environments.
A freelance professional at GeoScape, she is involved in sedimentological analyses, physicochemical monitoring, and environmental cartography.
She has collaborated with universities and research institutions on marine ecology, microbiology, and invertebrate aquaculture, and is also active in science communication and environmental education.
